Even You Resolve to Change

I hate New Year's Resolutions. I really do. Which is why I never make them, and haven't for the past 7 years, because I know I won't follow them. At all. But this year is going to be different. The good thing about this new list of resolutions is that some of the things I want to work on and make as habits have been going on for a while now. 2011 is going to be life changing for me on so many levels, so I hope to keep this momentum of good habits and goals perpetuating with the next 12 months. So what follows is my list:
  • attend the temple every week (though while I'm on my study abroad, I'm not sure how possible that is--there is a temple in Madrid, but I'm not entirely sure I'm going to be able to go every week, so while I'm in Europe, my goal is to go every month. However, because I'm flying out of London, I'm going to try to make it there as well.)
  • attend every temple in Utah--that's 13 temples
  • take nursing prereq classes in the Fall
  • start volunteering with the rape crisis center
  • read scriptures every day
  • take a picture of every day and blog about each pic so I can remember
  • get my CNA license
  • run a 5k
Not a super long list, but definitely one that can be conquered. We'll have to see how I'm doing in the next couple of months, but I foresee myself succeeding.

Sounds good. Will you be in Utah in May? We are participating in a 5K and would love to have you.

I'll be home in Utah at the end of April. The 5k sounds fun!
